Have a question?

We’ve done our best to compile questions we get asked all the time and answers that will hopefully guide you through the Mosaic process more easily.

Made to Order = 6-8 Weeks. Batch Built = 2-3 weeks.

Lead times vary slightly based on the model ordered and finishwork selected. The time clock starts when the frame has been officially signed off, and the deposit is received from your Mosaic dealer. Once an order is in process, no further changes can be made. The lead time quoted above is for the Mosaic frameset only, all other timelines should be discussed with your dealer.

Made to Order frames are built from scratch to rider specific geometry driven by fit data, choice of finish work and frameset configuration. Every Made to Order frame is fine-tuned to match each rider’s specific fit requirements, handling preferences, riding aspirations and finishwork preferences the way only a Made-To-Order Mosaic can.

Batch Built Frames are available in a standard size run from 48cm to 62cm with our tested and proven geometry, and are offered in limited configurations. Just choose your model, size, and finishwork. Just like every Mosaic, these frames are made by hand in our Colorado shop

1-Level Mosaic frames are ALWAYS Made to Order featuring an oversized double butted titanium tubeset built in rider specific geometry, and they include Mosaic Painted Finish making for a frame that’s perfectly tailored to each individuals fit and aesthetic preferences.

2-Level Mosaic frames utilize a straight gauge titanium tubeset, they’re offered in Batch Built standard geometry and finished in our Standard Titanium Finish for a simple, timeless, and expertly handcrafted frame.

The three key factors taken into account when you build a Made to Order Mosaic are Fit, Function, and Finish. Based on individual rider fit data provided by a Mosaic Dealer, each Made to Order frame is fine-tuned to match each rider’s specific fit requirements, handling preferences, and riding aspirations perfectly, the way only a Made-To-Order Mosaic can.

Rider-specific custom geometry is included at no additional cost on any 1-Level Mosaic frame. We’ll take bike fit data provided by your Mosaic Dealer, then design a custom frame draft to hit your fit and handling preferences absolutely perfectly. On a 2-Level frame, Rider-specific geometry is offered at an upgrade cost.

Yes! We have standard geometry for every model we make. Whether you’re a perfect fit on a Batch Built frame, or want to use it as a reference point for a Made to Order build, you’ll find the geometry chart on every model page.

Our bikes are heavily impacted by the environment that we live, work, and ride in. Colorado, and specifically Boulder, is a fantastic place to ride. Our rides are demanding of both the rider and of their equipment. There’s high speed pavement, steep gravel roads and almost endless alpine singletrack. These are the places we spend our time, and we craft products that are perfectly suited to the riding we like to do.

Choice of Mosaic Painted Finish and standard colors are included at no extra cost on any 1-Level Mosaic frame, and is offered at an upgrade cost on any 2-Level Mosaic frame. Artist Series finishwork layouts are always an additional upgrade.

Not exactly… We offer 4 Standard Painted Finishes as well as 5 Artist Series finishes. We have 15 standard colors, 150+ extended line colors, and the ability to create custom colors upon request. If you still don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, we’ll consider a custom job via our in-house paint shop – Spectrum Paint and Powderworks.

Find a Dealer. We believe the best experience purchasing a Mosaic frame is found working with one of our retail partners, a collection of some of the best in class, independent bicycle shops. If there is not a location near you, contact us to get connected with a retailer.

Mosaic sells framesets (frame, fork, headset & cockpit when applicable) via our dealer network. The dealer then works with the rider to specify & source the rest of the parts to complete the final build.

Mosaic operates in a purpose built fabrication and finish workshop. We don’t have an official “showroom”, but, we’ve always got a few bikes on hand and would be happy to show you around. Please email info@mosaiccycles.com or call 720-381-0475 to set up a time to visit.

Titanium is an excellent material to create a bicycle frame from for several reasons. It’s incredibly durable – a new Mosaic will ride as well 20 years down the road as it does the day it’s first built up. Titanium tubing lends itself to the production process of utilizing a rider specific tubeset to achieve the perfect fit, ride quality and aesthetic for each rider. Titanium creates a ride feel that’s unique and highly enjoyable. It’s incredibly smooth, yet it’s fast, light and responsive.

Most Mosaic frames are Made To Order, so every frame will likely have a unique final weight. For a ball park figure, however, you can expect a 1-Level Frameset to start around 1300 grams, while the straight gauge 2-Level framesets start around 1450 grams.

Yes you can. Whether you’re ready for something new or want to freshen up your existing paintjob, a Mosaic titanium frame is able to be stripped and re-finished to look as good as the day it was new. Mosaic Cycles stands behind the quality of the products we build. We guarantee against manufacturer defects for the lifetime of the frameset for the original owner with proof of purchase via an authorized Mosaic Dealer. Paint work performed by Spectrum Paint and Powderworks, sold as part of Mosaic Cycles frameset, is covered for two years from ship date. Components that are used carry the warranty of the manufacturer who made the product. In the event of a warranted failure, Mosaic Cycles will decide whether repair or replacement of the failed item will constitute the best form of resolution. This warranty does not cover normal wear and usage, damage caused by crashes, or poor maintenance habits such as, but not limited to rust, or chipping and cracking of paint due to carelessness.

We do not. We pride ourselves on the Mosaic Paint program, and paint is our finishwork method of choice. Why? High quality paintwork is incredibly durable, vibrant, and the options available to each rider are extensive. Check out the Finishwork Page for more.
